After answering questions, last Friday, about Donald Trump wanting ESPN to fire Jemele Hill for tweeting out to folks that he’s “a white supremacist,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson that she needs “to be respectful of” her fellow “colleagues.”

Huckabee Sanders told Jackson, “Hallie, I’ve already taken a question from you… I’m just asking you to be respectful of your colleagues so I can get around the room. I’ve got about two minutes left.”

Jackson’s colleagues, however, weren’t ready to let go of that question. Jackson’s fellow journalist yelled out to Huckabee Sanders, “You haven’t answered it!”

Soon after his comment, Jackson jumped in and told Huckabee Sanders that she’ll call the White House and get clarification on the answer because it was increasingly appearing as if she, Huckabee Sanders, was advising ESPN about firing Hill for her "white supremacist" tweet about Trump.

Recognizing that she had stepped in it, Huckabee Sanders responded with, “I said it’s not my decision to make for a private company…I think ESPN needs to stand by the standard that they have set in the actions that they’ve taken about previous employees.”

And after that, Huckabee Sanders took a question from a journalist named Margaret and then exited the room.
