Alisyn Camerota says Roger Ailes sexually harassed her
by Nathan'ette Burdine: April 27, 2017

On Sunday, during a sit down with CNN’S “Reliable Sources” host Brian Stelter, CNN’s “New Day” host Alisyn Camerota revealed that Roger Ailes sexually harassed her during her time at Fox News.

Camerota told Stelter, “When I was first starting out at Fox and I was, um, single, and I remember Roger, being in Roger’s office, and I was saying that I wanted more opportunity. And he said, ‘Well, I would have to work with you. I would have to work with you on that case. I would have to work with you really closely. And it may require us getting to know each other better and that might have to happen away from here. And it might have to happen at a hotel.’”

Camerota told Stelter that she never took Ailes up on his alleged offer and that she left the meeting feeling uncomfortable.

She said that she decided not to report the alleged incident because she didn’t believe that it would be beneficial to her career.

According to Camerota, her decision to not take Ailes up on his alleged offer to sleep with her resulted in him being harsher with her.

The former Fox News anchor told Stelter that Ailes would tell her to be “more conservative” and she would respond that “that is not my job” as a news anchor.

Camerota had been with Fox News for several years before she left the network in 2014 and joined CNN’s “New Day” to co-host alongside Chris Cuomo.

Camerota’s exit from Fox News also came a year before former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit against the company alleging that Roger Ailes had sexually harassed her.

The common thread between Camerota, Carlson, and the other women who’ve accused Ailes of sexually harassing them is that they all fit a certain type.

And the certain type that they fit is that they all have blond hair, are medium height, and have a slim build.

Also, Ailes would allegedly ask the women for some cuttie whenever they would approach him about advancing their careers.

It would allegedly go a little something like this:

Women-"Hey Roger, I will like to have some more on-air time."

Roger Ailes-“You can get more on-air time if I can get some.”

Women-“No. I’m not going to give you some.”

Roger-“O-kay, no more on-air time for you.”

Roger Ailes, of course, says everybody is lying on him and he did nothing wrong. Unfortunately for him, birds don’t start singing unless there is something to sing about. And right now, there are many birds singing a not-so-good song about him.
