Fox News has a new line up
by Nathan'ette Burdine: April 27, 2017

Fox News has announced its new line up. Tucker Carlson will be on at 8PM. Martha MacCallum show will air at 7PM, while The Five will take over Bill O’Reilly’s 9 o’clock time slot. Eric Bolling has a new show that will begin airing May 1, 2017, while Special Report with Scott Baier will air for two hours, from 5PM-7PM.

Last Thursday during an episode of Fox and Friends, host Ainsley Earhardt spoke about the changes at Fox News.

Earhardt is quoted as saying, “You might have already heard there are some major changes coming to the programming line up here at the Fox News Channel. Bill O’Reilly is leaving after what our parent company Twenty First Century Fox called an extensive review of sexual harassment allegations against him, allegations that Bill O’Reilly again called completely unfounded. The decision was announced by Rupert, James, and Lachlan Murdoch.”

New York Times reported that $13 million has been paid to several women who alleged that O’Reilly sexually harassed them.

The most recent payment was made in 2016. O’Reilly is denying the allegations. Prior to his ouster, it was announced that O’Reilly would be taking a vacation and that his show had been cut back to four days.

O’Reilly is the second big name at Fox News to be given the boot amidst several sexual harassment allegations.

Less than a year ago during the month of July, Fox News cut ties with former CEO Roger Ailes.

Like O’Reilly, Ailes had several complaints levied at him for sexual harassment. And like O’Reilly, he vehemently denied all the allegations. However, their denials have fallen on deaf ears.

The lengthy time span in which the alleged incidents occurred, plus the number of incidents and “hush, hush” money makes many folks believe that these allegations are true
