CNN’s Manu Raju reported that House Majority Leader Steve (Kay Kay Kay) Scalise (R-LA) got the 113 votes needed to have his name brought to the House floor for nomination as the next Speaker of the House (SOTH).

Judiciary Chairman Jim (Shower Buddy) Jordan (R-OH) got 99 votes. All either of them needed was 111 votes. Fortunately for Kay Kay Kay, there, he got 2 extra votes which gave him 113.

Here’s what Kay Kay Kay said to the press while standing outside in the Congressional halls, “First I want to thank my House Republican Colleagues for just designating me as the speaker. Obviously we still have work to do. We are going to have to go upstairs on the House floor and resolve this and then get the House open again. We have a lot of work to do. Not just in the House for the people in this country but we see how dangerous of a world this is and how things can change so quickly. And we need to send a message to people all throughout the world that the House is open and doing the People business.” Oh yeah, he “stands with Israel.”

Here’s the thing, though, folks, nobody can become SOTH without 217 votes. And if y’all do the math, there, y’all will see that the total number is 212 and 212 is the total number of Democrats in the House. The number of Republicans in the House is 221. The number of votes needed to become the next SOTH is 217.

Looking at that, there, one will figure that Kay Kay Kay won’t become the next SOTH anytime soon.

As for Shower Buddy, well, he’s in the same boat as Kay Kay Kay.
