Two attorneys quit Lori Vallow's case

Attorneys Edwina Elcox and Brian Webb up and quit Lori Vallow’s case after deciding that trying to prove to a jury of her peers that she had nothing to do with the disappearance of her two children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua “JJ” Vallow, is not the thing for them to do.

Now, although those lawyer client privilege rules are keeping Elcox and Webb from saying exactly why they quit, the two have left little tid bits about why it is they’ve decided to take that door marked exit.

“Good cause exists for granting this motion based upon the standards set forth in the Idaho Criminal Rules and Idaho Rules of Professional Conduct. Counsel cannot reveal more information than this without disclosing privileged attorney-client communications,” is what the folks over at Fox 13 said Elcox and Webb wrote in their document to the court.

Folks, I know that y’all are looking at those first three words “Good cause exists” because y’all know that whenever somebody says good-cause he or she is saying that we know something that won’t let us sleep at night.

Also keep in mind, folks, that after Elcox told the court that Vallow “is dedicated to vigorously defending against these allegations” that she had anything to do with the kidnapping of her children, Elcox then turned around and attached her name to this “Good cause” document just so she could be taken off Vallow’s case.

You don’t leave a case after you say that your client is “vigorously defending against these allegations” that she stole her own children and then made them disappear into thin air.

A person doesn’t do that when she believes that her client is as innocent as a newborn baby. But Elcox did it and so did Webb. They’re gone. And let the one lawyer, Mark Means, tell it, they’re gone because of...welljust read what abc News said he said, “As with any citizen of our county, Mrs. Daybell is entitled to all the privileges and rights that accompany our cornerstone belief of innocents, until proven beyond a reasonable doubt otherwise. It is this innocence that Mrs. Daybell assertively maintains regarding all charges.”

Mm-hmm, if you read between the lines of all of that there, you’ll pick up that Elcox and Webb left because they know the fact that Lori Vallow was the last person seen with her two children makes it very difficult to convince a jury of her peers that she is a grieving mother.
