rain and snow and cold to California
Winter Storm Piper isn’t piping down anytime soon! According to the folks over at The Weather Channel,
Winter Storm Piper is bringing more snow, rain, and cold weather to The
Golden State.
The folks living in Los Angeles, Ventura, and San Bernardino counties have been told to either hunker down or to get out of town because the blizzard, flood, and freeze are all coming.
More than two feet of snow will be joining with the high powered winds to create the white out conditions that folks living in the Midwest see every winter.
The rain and cold will be working hand in hand, using the power of Mr. Freeze, to turn the sidewalks, roads, lakes, streams, and rivers into ice skating rinks.
Speaking of the road, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) has closed part of the 5 Freeway that runs through the Grapevine. The Grapevine is a 6 mile portion of the 5 Freeway. The Grapevine is call The Grapevine because there are a lot of grapevines running along the canyons.
Hey, looky down there! Winter Storm Piper snow dust the Hollywood Sign!
There are those of you wondering when is all of this “lovely weather” going to leave. If what The Weather Channel folks say is true, the “lovely weather” will be gone out of The Golden State by Monday and headed towards The Badger State and The Empire State. Until then, get a lot of coats to keep you warm and or a boat to keep you afloat in the flooded waters.
And oh yeah, Six Flags Magic Mountain is closed…Oh, stop pouting, you. There is some good news. According to Six Flags Magic Mountain’s tweet, folks who had tickets dated for Friday, February 24, 2023, will be able to use their tickets through New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2023!
An early Christmas present! Yeah!
